The Garmin VHF 215 AIS marine radio features intuitive design and provides radio communication to enhance convenience and safety. Included with VHF 215 AIS, this feature displays AIS on the chartplotter
to enhance communication, situational awareness and collision avoidance. With up to 25 watts of transmit power, you can stay in touch anywhere on the water. The radio provides full Class D Digital Selective Calling
(DSC) capability via NMEA 2000 and NMEA 0183 interface. Both the interfaces make the radio comaptible with Garmin chartplotters and MFDs and enables the sailors to make distress calls with the push of a button.
The VHF 215 AIS features 10 NOAA weather channels to keep up with the weather changes when at the sea. It also offers frequency bands for all USA, Canadian and internation marine channels. The removable fist microphone
can be relocated away from the radio and the radio is compatible with the GHS 11 second-station handset.
